UV Window Film
UV window films, or ultraviolet filters, are museum-grade as standard from Sun-X, exceeding the Thompson specification at the three requisite points along the UV spectrum. This stringent test means that some films are not necessarily museum-grade, even if they claim to have over 99% UV filtration. Sun-X UV films are regularly tested and approved by The National Trust, V&A and National Gallery. Sun-X has installed UV film extensively for decades throughout historic houses, art galleries and museums across the UK and even abroad.
Where additional protection is required against damage caused by heat and visible light, SUN-X neutral density UV films contain a unique combination of metals to achieve this effect, while leaving colour rendition and colour temperature unaffected, which is critical when displaying works of art.
