Sun-X has joined the exclusive band of those who have won the right to display the Royal Arms, By Appointment to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
For a number of years this long established firm has manufactured and installed traditional blinds and ultraviolet filters at Royal Residences in England and Scotland. The directors of Sun-X, David French and Trevor Till now proudly display The Royal Arms in recognition of the company’s services in protecting works of art, fabrics and furnishings from the damaging effects of daylight.
In addition to this work for Stately Homes, Major Art Galleries & National Museums, Sun-X also installs all types of sun blinds in addition to a wide range of safety and solar window films for government and major clients in commerce and industry.
The Royal Warrant may be awarded to companies who have regularly supplied the Her Majesty the Queen with goods or services for at least five years. The Duke of Edinburgh and The Prince of Wales issue their own Royal Warrants. The Grantors, as they are known, are advised by the Lord Chamberlain who is head of the Royal Household and chairman of the Royal Household Tradesmen’s Warrants Committee. However, the final decision to grant a Royal Warrant is made by the member of the Royal Family concerned. The Royal Warrant has always been regarded as a mark of excellence and quality.
